Orientation visits are mandatory in order to gain access to the animal facility. Theoretical and practical training must have been successfully completed before being allowed to attend an orientation visit. The visit includes a theoretical portion which aims to inform users of the health risks present in animal facilities and the actions and attitudes to adopt to prevent injuries.
A site visit is then carried out in order to visualize the operation and the various regulations applying to the animal facility as well as the available resource persons, the location of the premises, equipment, first aid tools, documents, etc.
